Victor is a dedicated sports physiotherapist specializing in optimizing athletic performance, particularly in tennis. He holds a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Kinesiology, specializing in athletic injury, exercise physiology, exercise nutrition, and behavior change. He has worked with elite athletes, including a WTA-ranked player and numerous junior competitors during the Australian Open.
Currently, Victor leads the Melbourne University Sports Medicine Team, overseeing the care of over 300 elite student-athletes. He specializes in neuromuscular and myofascial connections, using his expertise to enhance injury recovery, movement efficiency, and performance optimization. His approach integrates cutting-edge assessment techniques, including 3D movement analysis, neural tension testing, and range of motion assessments, to create individualized rehabilitation programs.
Victor is trained in Fascial Manipulation (Stecco Method), a highly specialized approach that targets myofascial dysfunction to restore movement and reduce pain. He is also an Australian Physiotherapy Association Level 1 Dry Needling practitioner, incorporating advanced soft tissue therapy techniques into his treatments. In addition to his clinical work, he plays an active role in educating future therapists, having designed a soft tissue therapy training module and presented on fascial manipulation.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Victor connects with a diverse range of athletes. A passionate tennis player and fitness enthusiast, he brings firsthand athletic experience to his physiotherapy practice. When not in the clinic, he stays on top of the latest sports science innovations to refine his approach.
